As the heat pump market matures, a significant increase in heat pump deployment is anticipated, meaning that the demand on the network will also rise. It is vital that network operators have visibility of where heat pump units are connected, to effectively manage the low voltage network to maintain a secure supply.
They are now inviting tenders from MCS certified installers of air source heat pumps, ground source heat pumps, Solar PV (photovoltaic) and energy storage systems to install both national and regionally.
Primarily a EN 12831 compliant calculator, it can undertake room by room heat loss calculations to allow for the appropriate sizing of heat emitters.
