Green Square urges ASHP uptake before tariff drop

The biomass tariff has been lowered by 40 percent since the start of the scheme in April 2014 triggered by high uptake. The first decrease for ASHPs is predicted for October this year, giving homeowners only three months to benefit from the best deal.

Jared Sneath, Green Square Raynes Park manager, said: “At this time of year, we encourage our customers to get ahead of the game when it comes to installing ASHPs. Instead of risking a boiler breakdown in the midst of winter when heating and hot water are essential, taking the initiative and planning ahead can save a lot of hassle in the colder months.

“With the RHI payments reducing over time, anyone considering a switch to renewable energy supplies will get a better deal the sooner they act.”
