Wolseley’s new Edinburgh branch welcomes installers

Wolseley has opened a brand-new Plumb & Parts contract branch on the outskirts of Edinburgh, in Newbridge.

The impressive 14,000 sq ft site, complete with a large yard – holding drainage stock – houses an incredible, wide range of products to serve the community. The product range includes plumbing, cooling, heating, parts, tools, and materials amongst many more. To service the business, Wolseley have also invested in four vehicles to ensure products are delivered on time to customers.

The branch is located just off the M8 and M9 motorways, with connections to Scotland’s capital city and further afield.

Improving productivity and ‘first time fixes’

Glen Scorah, national sales director at Wolseley said: “Our brand-new branch in Newbridge is great news for customers in the region who will receive a first-class, knowledgeable service. Not forgetting access to one of the largest product ranges in the Wolseley network, all ready to go.

“This branch really allows us to tailor our proposition to the markets our customers work in, ensuring the right stock in branch, best delivery on time in full and a professional team dealing with all your needs.”

The branch will provide service and components for the new build and social housing markets, whilst also delivering a one-stop shop for plumbing and heating customers, allowing them to improve productivity and ‘first time fixes’.

There will also be a 30-minute ‘click and collect’ service available as well as delivery of above and below ground product in one go.

Supporting local businesses

Liz Mcareavey, chief executive at the Edinburgh Chamber of Commerce, who officially opened the branch, said: “It’s been a fantastic opportunity to meet the Wolseley Newbridge team, their customers and suppliers, while also learning more about the future plans for the branch.

“I’m sure the new branch will play an important role in supporting local businesses undertaking a variety of plumbing and heating work across the area, as well as those working in the new build and social housing markets.”

Adam Killen, branch manager at Newbridge added: “The doors at Newbridge are officially open and we look forward to welcoming all customers, whether they are working in the new build and social housing markets, or a local installer looking for a part to fix a boiler.”
