The new training and assessment package has been mapped out against the relevant National Occupational Standards and has been approved by SummitSkills.
The programme runs over three days and comprises of theoretical and practical components.
Paul Collins, technical services manager at NICEIC, said: “This assessment is essential for installers undertaking the installation and commissioning of ASHP systems, giving them competence to be able to complete the installation correctly.”
