NICEIC and Rolec EV team up for electric vehicle charging point training

NICEIC have partnered with electric vehicle charging point experts Rolec EV to offer specialist training for anyone looking to expand their business.

The one day course is designed specifically for anyone wanting to get involved in the electrical vehicle charging industry. The course covers:

  • a general introduction to the electric vehicle industry
  • an overview of the type of EVs available
  • an insight into government legislation and incentives
  • BS7671 supply, installation and protection requirements
  • the IET code of practice

There will also be a workshop covering the full range of Rolec EV’s charging equipment followed by an exam.  Successful candidates will have a fundamental knowledge of the supply, installation and protection requirements necessary for the installation of electric vehicle charging points.

They will also have the opportunity to go onto a centralised register which will be distributed throughout the EV industry, enabling people to contact a qualified contractor.

Although the course is primarily aimed at the electrician, it can be undertaken by administrative and sales staff looking for a basic knowledge of the EV industry.

Mike Jackson, Head of Sales at NICEIC commented: “With more than 20 years experience manufacturing electrical equipment for the outdoor market, Rolec EV is the perfect partner for this course.”

The training course runs from December 2012. For more information or to book your place call 0870 013 0389 or contact training@niceic.com
