emerce to support installers in Ireland

Offering a broad portfolio of solar components for residential and small commercial PV plants and EV chargers, the German B2B online marketplace is well-positioned to support Ireland in its energy transition.

Founded by SMA, the leading global specialist for photovoltaic systems, emerce benefits from 40 years of experience in the solar field. The emerce marketplace offers a wide range of products, from solar modules, inverters, and energy managers to EV chargers and heat pumps. Available brands include SMA, REC, Renusol, my-PV, Sonnenstromfabrik, Wieland, and Genvex. The online platform enables efficient, time-saving purchases with reliable and prompt deliveries.

Stefanie Hegener, managing director at emerce, says: “We are glad to be entering this important market as we expect Ireland’s installed capacity within the residential and commercial PV segments to double until 2024. emerce is committed to support installers in their business and be their reliable partner for the provision of photovoltaic and smart energy systems.”

The emerce portfolio meets the demands of Ireland’s ambitious energy targets: Aiming at delivering 70% renewable electricity by 2030, the country is ramping up its solar energy capacities. In this context, the Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland (seai) is offering government funding for renewable and smart energy solutions, among other grants for private homeowners for covering purchase and installation costs for EV chargers and PV panels or battery energy storage systems.

Stefanie Hegener adds: “Following the launch of the new SMA EV charger that we will also be offering in our marketplace, emerce supports sustainability throughout the whole energy system. Installers will find all components for smart and sustainable solutions in one single marketplace.”
