PHG, a buying group for the heating and plumbing sector, is made up of fourteen member merchant groups with 357 branches and showrooms around the country. The members have a combined turnover of £615 million and have 135 suppliers that provide products to the buying group for installers and plumbers to buy from, under ‘one large roof’.
The annual supplier networking event this year saw Stelrad Radiators awarded the ‘oscar’ of the event, and Stelrad’s head of marketing, Chris Harvey, was pleased to be there to accept the award on behalf of the UK’s biggest radiator manufacturer.
Getting things right
“It’s always pleasing to win awards in this industry and especially ones that acknowledge that as a business you are getting things right,” said Chris Harvey on accepting this award for the company.
“This award says we are providing the right selection of products, of the right quality and reliability, at the right price and backing those products with a world leading distribution and delivery service that is getting the radiators installers need delivered to the right place, in the right timeframe and in right condition for them to collect their radiators and get them installed in good time.
“We’ve worked really hard with PHG to deliver the products and the service levels they want to see for their customers and to integrate our systems with theirs to ensure that communication and data transfer is top notch and this award says we’re doing things right. It’s very rewarding.”
