Enviromena appoints new Chief Commercial Officer to drive solar growth

Leading clean energy solutions company Enviromena has appointed Lee Adams as Chief Commercial Officer.

Clean energy solutions company Enviromena has appointed Lee Adams.

His appointment comes after Enviromena recently revealed Chris Marsh as their new CEO, following another significant announcement that the company had secured a major refinancing deal of £65m, which aims to support the growth of its constructed and operational UK solar portfolio to over 500MW by 2025.

Lee has previously worked with pioneering renewables companies Anesco and InstaVolt over a 15-year career. Joining Enviromena in 2021 as European Sales Director, Lee has been working on expanding the company’s project pipeline across the UK.

In his new position as Enviromena’s Chief Commercial Officer, Lee will be driving forward the company’s ambitious pipeline growth to develop large-scale solar and battery storage sites. As well as developing hundreds of MWs of solar, wind and storage projects over his career, Lee also worked on the UK’s first subsidy-free project in 2017 – all contributing the country’s Net Zero targets.

Portfolio expansion

Commenting on his new role, Lee said: “I am thrilled with my promotion to Chief Commercial Officer at a time when the company is delivering and energising significant renewable projects around the UK and Europe. With even more in the pipeline, next year will be an exciting time as we continue to expand our portfolio.”

Chris Marsh, Enviromena’s newly appointed CEO, said: “Lee and I have worked together for several years and I have no doubt that his significant experience in the renewables sector will be hugely beneficial to the company and our ambitious growth plan. I offer him my congratulations and all the best in his new role.”
