The event is free for all tradeswomen and trainee tradeswomen and offers the opportunity for women to meet supportive manufacturers and companies, hear the stories of other women in trades (if you’re a trainee, find out more about the industry and the successes of women in it) and hear headline speaker Mandy Hickson – the second woman fast jet fighter pilot.

Increasing the numbers of women in the heating and plumbing industry

Hattie Hasan, founder and CEO of Stopcocks Group Limited, which includes Stopcocks Women Plumbers, WIT and the Register of Tradeswomen CIC, who is the first female plumber to be awarded an MBE for services to women in the plumbing and heating industries, will also be speaking at the event.

Delegates at the event

This event offers the opportunity to catch-up on what’s been happening in the industry and what’s changing, plus roundtable discussions.

The event follows a recent survey, which revealed that the gender pay gap is more prevalent within plumbing heating and ventilation, with careers in these sectors being in the top 10 lowest ranking roles that attract an equal pay to men in the same trade.
