Specifications specialist, Ryan Kirkwood, has been appointed as Heat Pump Business Development manager, at Baxi Heating UK and Ireland. Ryan has been with the company since 2013, as area sales manager in Scotland, looking after specification and sales of Remeha gas boilers, biomass boilers and CHP.

Phil Hurley MD of NIBE Energy Systems Ltd has been appointed as the new chairman of the Heat Pump Association. Max Halliwell, communications manager of Mitsubishi, has also been elected as vice chair.

Jan Rosenow, renowned academic energy researcher, keynote speaker and director of European programmes at the Regulatory Assistance Project is now also special advisor to the House of Commons’ Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy on the inquiry into decarbonising heating in the UK.

Andy Hooper is the new MD of Unitherm Heating Systems (renewable heating distributor) leaving LG, where he was UK and Ireland heating manager.

Ilias Vazaios is now director of low carbon at Gemserv, a company that recently acquired Ecuity where he was partner. 

Paul Steen has moved to Vattenfall as regional director, leaving Ramboll’s District Energy business where he was head of department.
