Danfoss releases online heat pump dimensioning tool

HPC2 Climate Data
Danfoss has introduced a new online tool designed to aid the process of dimensioning heat pumps for installers.

The HPC 2.0 calculation programme can be used for the dimensioning of both domestic and large capacity air and ground source heat pumps.  The online system, which is free to Danfoss’ approved installers, enables the simulation of different solutions for the same building and should present the optimum heat pump design giving the best energy savings to the property owner or investor.

According to Danfoss, the system is useful for creating quotations as it uses comprehensive report outputs and can be carried out whilst the installer is out on site, as long as there is an internet connection.

Chris Dale, director of Danfoss, said: “This new dimensioning tool has huge benefits in terms of facilitating the process of selecting a heat pump for a project and assisting with the quoting system.  We developed this system in response to demand from our installers as part of making the whole process of specifying heat pumps as straightforward as possible. This is the most comprehensive system of its type currently available, as it covers all heat pump technologies and energy sources.”
