The Bronpi Hydro Alaska-21 offers a number of special features to reduce maintenance. The design incorporates self cleaning systems that include a shuttle mechanism at the bottom of the crucible which allows embers to drop through to the ashpan every few hours keeping the crucible clean and enable reliable relighting. Also, the turbulators on the heat exchanger are automatically moved in the auto-cleaning cycle for optimum combustion efficiency.
The Alaska boiler has a fully integrated 361 litre silo with a capacity for 200kg of pellets which is designed to keep the boiler running for around a week without any running attention or re-supply.The Bronpi range of biomass boilers (which include backboiler models) can make energy cost efficiencies resulting in savings of up to 30 percent over conventional oil-fired models.
