SEA elects new vice president

Bill Rumble Chief Commercial Officer Mark Group
The Sustainable Energy Association, formally known as the Micropower Council, has today announced that its executive committee has elected Bill Rumble, ceo at Mark Group, to be the new vice president of the association, and chair of its executive committee.

Bill will formally take over from the current vice president, Donald Daw, divisional commercial director, Mitsubishi Electric, at the next executive committee meeting in April. He will now serve in this capacity for a period of two years.

Commenting on the result, former cice president, Donald Daw, said: “I have greatly enjoyed my time as vice president of the organisation over the past four years – a period that has seen considerable steps forward in government policy to benefit the sector. I am particularly pleased to have chaired the executive committee during the recent move to become the Sustainable Energy Association and oversee it officially adopt a much more integrated approach to energy efficiency and low carbon and renewable energy production in buildings.”

Chair elect, Bill Rumble, said: “Donald Daw has been an excellent chair for the past four years and has seen the organisation achieve some major steps forward in influencing government policy. During 2013 he oversaw the organisation’s transition to become the Sustainable Energy Association, and I am privileged to have the opportunity to build on those achievements.”
