Renewable technology distributor Segen has announced that it has added additional improvements to its inverter rebate scheme.

Segen introduced the scheme in April 2013 assist installers navigating the tough PV market. According to the company, as the only distributor to offer this unique scheme in the UK, it has rewarded its customers with over £80,000 in rebates.

The Segen inverter rebate scheme is a monthly programme offering customers rebates calculated based on kW of inverters purchased. To further improve its scheme, Segen has now reduced the rebate entry level to 25kW, and increased the level of rebate to 500kW. Depending on which inverters are purchased, customers buying 25kW of inverters could receive up to  1.5 percent rebate, with the highest rebate being 7.5 percent for 500kW of inverters.

Andy Pegg, managing director at Segen, said: “We know that UK installers are under a number of pressures in the current economic market. Segen believe that, with the benefit of the upweighted rebate levels we can provide our customer’s businesses with a real kick start in 2014.”
