Go Geothermal Ltd has held an open day to showcase some of the newest renewable technologies available to the UK market.

Manufacturers and installers gathered at the firm’s Nottinghamshire office – based at the CORE Renewable Energy Centre in East Drayton – to find out more about the company’s product portfolio.

Speakers included Mark McManus, md of Stiebel Eltron UK; Jonathan Hicks, REHAU divisional manager; Ian Barnes from Sentinel Solutions; Daniel Blau, export manager at FRANK GmbH and Jason Boshell, technical sales manager at JAGA.

Tim Williams, Go Geothermal co-director, said: “We viewed this as a valuable training day as much as a market showcase – an opportunity for our suppliers and installer partners to come together, find out more about the latest renewable technologies and share knowledge and ideas. The green energy industry moves at such a fast pace with leading manufacturers constantly investing in research and development. Therefore it is essential that we all keep abreast of what is new to the market and how we can apply it to domestic and commercial projects in the UK.

“We need to be very aware of how our colleagues in Europe – where consumers are much more attuned to renewable energy and its benefits – are expanding their ideas and designing new products all the time. It’s important to keep our eyes and minds open to these technologies and learn from our European counterparts. It was evident from speaking with our guests that the UK green energy industry is in a much more positive state of mind, thanks in part to the RHI; by working together and sharing knowledge we can create more business opportunities for us all.”
