The course ‘MCS QMS’ is designed to help firms develop their own Quality Management System in line with Microgeneration Certification Scheme (MCS) requirements.
Certsure ceo Emma Clancy said: “When we announced the merger between the ECA and ESC we promised to provide free training programmes which would benefit those firms listed on the Electrical Safety Register.
“This is part of our commitment to provide all ESR registrants with the skills and knowledge to be the best in the industry.”
In April this year, Certsure, the joint venture formed by the partnership between the ECA and ESC which looks after the Electrical Safety Register, launched the first of its free training courses – An Introduction to Renewable Technologies.
The follow up course covers all aspects of the MCS scheme and sets out the requirements needed to set up a quality management system.
Emma added: “Implementing a quality management system is a way of looking at everything you do, analysing it and ultimately improving it so that your business operates in the best way it can. It has also been proven to save businesses money.”
Having a quality management system in place is a pre-requisite for registration onto the MCS Installer Scheme.
