NAPIT have recently confirmed that Michael Andrews has been appointed new chief executive of the NAPIT Group. The official announcement was made on July 8 2013 as NAPIT marked the twenty-first year anniversary of the company.

This comes as founder and ceo John Andrews along with fellow group director Wendy Andrews announced their retirement after more than 20 years at the head of the company.

Commenting on his appointment, ceo Michael Andrews said: “Throughout these 21 years, John and Wendy Andrews have been the responsible, ever steady hands at the helm of this organization.

“It was John’s passion and intimate knowledge of the electrical industry, coupled with Wendy’s business expertise, that helped make NAPIT an organisation that stood up for the interests and catered to the needs of ordinary electricians across the country, while providing the commercial efficiency to offer a range of beneficial products and services at outstanding value.

“John and Wendy have created an organisation built on solid foundations and business integrity. My aim is to drive the business forward, to make NAPIT more efficient and diverse through greater engagement of members. With initiatives such as ElectricSafe, I also strive to make NAPIT an even greater champion for electricians as well as professional and aspiring tradespeople alike.

“I want to wish John and Wendy a very happy and thoroughly well deserved retirement and to reaffirm my commitment to follow firmly in their footsteps, not only to develop and improve NAPIT as a business, but also to invest in innovation, listen to the views of our members and build bridges for a better industry.”
