Pump manufacturer Wilo UK has been granted CEMARS carbon reduction certification after an 18 month process.
To achieve CEMARS certification, organisations must have measured greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions in accordance with ISO 14064–1. They must also make a commitment to reduce emissions by creating an emissions management and reduction plan.
“This is a certification we are extremely proud to hold,” said Simon Oakes, Wilo’s sales director for water management and industry.
“It involves a lengthy process of audits and quality assessments to ascertain, measure and reduce carbon emissions from every aspect of our business activity. We are proud to have the CEMARS certification since it demonstrates that carbon reduction matters to Wilo, and it fits perfectly into the worldwide Wilo environmental policy.
“It’s a standard component and key driver of our business – Wilo is about so much more than pump supply and manufacture. We wish to deliver the highest levels of innovation and service contributing to a sustainable, responsible and caring future and environment.”
