PV staff buckle up for safe installations

Solar panel installers buckled up to boost health and safety when they enrolled on a course in using new roof harnesses.

Staff from Burnley solar panel company Solarlec took the course atBlackburn’s Training 2000 as part of ongoing improvements to health and safety awareness.

Solarlec was keen to use a local training provider to get its solar panel fitters up to speed on new roof harnessing equipment.

Solarlec director Ged Rowbottom said: “As one of the largest installers of solar panels in the region we take health and safety very seriously, especially as we’re entering the colder months when weather conditions can make things difficult for our installation teams.

“We’ve upgraded to new roof harnesses to make sure the safety of our customers and staff is paramount at all times. The training our team received at Training 2000 was excellent and we won’t hesitate to call on their services again in future.”
