Solar Electricity Systems, which is Energie’s sole distributor in Scotland, is now able to supply installers throughout the UK with delivery of Energie’s new technology.
Energie says that, unlike solar panel systems, Thermodynamics can continue to work at night and temperatures down to -15ºc. It adds that the product is causing excitement in the industry due to the simplicity and effectiveness of reverse refridgeration technology. Gas in the pipework captures heat from the ambient air and passes it into a compressor which creates further heat to transfer into the water cylinder. Water can therefore be heated 365 days a year, 24 hours a day.
Jim Kirkland, managing director of Solar Electricity Systems, said: “All the signs are that thermodynamic panels will be a game-changing technology and we anticipate a surge in demand among installers.
“The advantages for people in the trade which the new panels have over existing systems are quite remarkable. They are compact and light, making them easy to handle, transport and store.”
He added: “As an official UK Energie distributor and sole distributor in Scotland, we will be able to deliver this top range of thermodynamic panels in quantity and on time for installers throughout the UK.”
An Energie spokesman said: “We are a long established family firm with strong customer service values and we are delighted to have been able to complete a distribution agreement with Solar Electricity Systems, which shares our values.
“This deal will allow Solar Electricity Systems to pioneer the future of domestic water heating in the UK and make a revolutionary, super efficient and 100 percent green product available to trade customers and consumers alike.”
