BSS Industrial announce MIND as charity partner

BSS

BSS Industrial has kicked off its partnership with mental health charity MIND with a colourful balloon race at its Leicestershire head office earlier this month.

The balloon race was the first of many planned fundraising efforts. Over the next two years, BSS Industrial hopes to raise a total of £100,000 which will allow Mind to provide advice and support to empower anyone experiencing a mental health problem in England and Wales. Sister charities Niamh, (the Northern Ireland Association for Mental Health) and SAMH (the Scottish Association for Mental Health) will ensure BSS supports projects across the UK.

Chris Hufflett, managing director of BSS Industrial, said: “We are extremely proud to support such an important cause and give back to the communities where our branches are based. Statistics show that one in four people will experience a mental health problem in any given year, and as a result we feel that promoting greater awareness and understanding of mental health issues, with Mind, is very important.”

Paul Farmer, chief executive of Mind, said: “I’d like to thank BSS Industrial for choosing Mind, we’re thrilled to have their support. Money raised throughout our partnership will ensure our helplines, website information and online community can continue to give anyone experiencing a mental health problem somewhere to turn for advice and support.”
