The roadshow, now in its third year, is a series of half day seminars that provide an accessible educational opportunity in trade essentials for installers, SME and commercial businesses to run a successful solar business in the upcoming year.
Organised by Solar Media, the seminars will take place in Surrey, Somerset, Cambridgeshire, Manchester, Yorkshire and Edinburgh between 3 – 11 February.
Supporting sponsors BayWa r.e. said: “The last two months of 2013 were very encouraging for us as we saw continuous growth across all sectors of the UK PV market, this resulted in the highest installation capacity figures since the week before the most recent FiT cut – and all this during what is normally the quietest months of the year. Whether this was encouraged by increasing energy costs we are optimistic that the trend will continue once installers can get back out there following the awful weather we have recently suffered! With the next FiT cut coming in April the SEUK Roadshows are ideally placed for installers to come and learn of new developments from manufacturers and products becoming available from us that may mean up selling opportunities, improved installation timescales and a competitive edge.”
Additional sponsors Solar Frontier, SunEdison, Geo and P.M. Service will also be joined by speakers:
Ray Noble, co-chair of the DECC Solar Strategy Task Force & PV Specialist, Solar Trade Association
Stuart Elmes, ceo of Viridian Solar & chair of Solar Thermal Committee, Solar Trade Association
Paul Barwell, ceo of the Solar Trade Association
Ian Draisey, md of BayWa r.e and director of the Solar Trade Association
Barry Marsh, director of BRE National Solar Centre
