Viessmann and BoltonCollege have invested in the new state-of-the-art construction centre, providing a cutting-edge facility for studying green technology courses.

Fitted with £100,000 of Viessmann equipment, the dedicated training facility will also be used to train heating engineers from the local area, including those from the nearby cities of Liverpool, Manchester and Leeds.

A mixture of domestic and renewable heating technologies is fully operational in the new building, including models from Viessmann’s popular Vitodens 100 and 200ranges of boilers. Solar thermal, solar PV and heat pump products also feature in the centre, with large detailed graphical displays mounted on the walls throughout, detailing the products’ key features and how they may be fitted together.

Viessmann training manager, Anthony Lobley, attended the opening ceremony to mark the launch of the centre on June 28:  “We value the training programmes we provide to installers across the UK, and are proud to work with BoltonCollege at this brand new facility.

“Quality training is a crucial foundation for every heating engineer. Not only do we offer our installers state-of-the-art training facilities in their local area, but our courses also provide them with the tools they need to really excel in the work place. For example, on completion of our Vitodens 100-W training course, installers are able to exclusively offer an extended 10 year warranty option with every sale, and can log each boiler as Gas Safe registered for free.”
