Eight senior managers from Uponor and sister company Velta are set to tackle the highest peak in the British Isles outside of Scotland by undertaking a combination of cycling, canoeing and hiking for charity partner REGAIN.

On Saturday 06July, members of the senior management team will be cycling 40 miles around the base of Mount Snowdon before canoeing across Lake Gwyant and ascending the 884m peak on foot.

Their aim is to complete the challenge within eight hours and the team will be raising over £4000 for REGAIN, a charity which is dedicated to improving the lives of those who have become tetraplegic through sporting accidents.

Peter Roberts, Uponor UK’s managing director, said: “REGAIN is a fantastic charity which provides vital help and support to men and women who have suffered serious injuries pursuing an activity which they love.

“Whilst those taking part may not be as spritely as they once were, with both of our groups having a combined age of over 180, providing charitable support is a corner stone of Uponor’s philosophy and we’re delighted to be taking part in the Snowdonia Challenge 2013 and raising money for such a worthy cause.”
