GECCO2 has won the contract to install a large horizontal Geo-Exchange system as part of the £18m state-of-the-art North Shore Health Academy development in Stockton-On-Tees.

Laid at £1.2m below two football pitches and serving a 110kW heat pump, the system is scheduled to be up and running by the end of next month (September).

Speaking about the project, Matt Love, md of GECCO2, said: “This is an exciting project and not without its challenges. We were given a very tight schedule that required rapid mobilisation to the site, as well as clear strategy for works planning.”
