PTS director completes charity mission

Plumbing Trade Supplies area director Alan Masters has raised over £1500 for Cancer Research UK having recently embarked on an impressive 100km moonlit bike ride through London.

This was Alan’s first attempt at completing the annual Nightrider event in which over 3000 participants set off from Alexander Palace and passed over 50 famous landmarks.

Alan, who was able to complete the 100km course in just over six hours, said: “Bike riding is a hobby of mine so it was great to be able to put this to good use and raise money for a great charity like Cancer Research UK.  To cycle through the sunrise in the early hours was amazing. It’s not often you get the roads of London all to yourself so this was a real treat.”

Debbie Fitzgerald, area volunteer manager at Cancer Research UK, added: “On behalf of everyone at Cancer Research UK, I would like to say a big thank you to Alan and I hope he can be proud of what he has achieved.  People like Alan make a huge difference to our cause through their generous donations, helping us to make a difference to lives across the UK.”
