Solar Electricity Systems and Vokera sign strategic deal

Scottish installers Solar Electricity Systems has teamed up with home heating firm Vokera to enhance its solar thermal provision.

The alliance will enable Solar Electricity Systems to work with a company which supplies 1.5m boilers and heating appliances throughout the UK and supply them with solar thermal panels.

Earnings are also forecast to rise significantly for the two partners from £712,000 last year to £12.5m in the current financial year.

Installations director Richard Hamilton said: “The green energy market has a number of different facets and applications. Solar Electricity Systems has already proved its expertise in the field of PV solar panels and now it intends to bring its high quality offering to other areas.

“This partnership with Vokèra – one of the best known and most trusted names in the sector – will allow us to introduce our customers to the top range of solar thermal panels within our existing value-for-money model.

“Then we can continue to diversify into other sustainable energy solutions, including ground source and air source heat pumps, biomass boilers and even certification provision for Energy Performance Certificates.”
