The company specialise in providing design, manufacture and installation services for a range of products across the complete building envelope including renewable technologies for both the domestic and commercial markets.

The specialist façade company officially opened its Renewable Technologies Centre in 2011, enabling them to conduct training, research and development into future renewable technology solutions. Alumet’s standards have recently been validated with both ISO 14001 and Investors in Excellence accreditations.

The judges commented: “Alumet is not just doing what it thinks are the right things, but using green technologies to grow its business. The company has demonstrated the greatest commitment, through its products and processes, to forging a low carbon manufacturing future for the Midlands.”

Marketing manager, Rob Henson, concluded: “It is a privilege to be named Green Manufacturer of the Year. We have been a Midlands based company since establishment 20 years ago and are very proud to be leading the way for other businesses in the region. The award is great recognition for the hard work of our team.”
