Thermodynamic boss named as top entrepreneur

Alistair Smit, managing director of The Magic Thermodynamic Box Company, has been voted as one of the top five entrepreneurs at the National Business Awards.

Now in its 13th year, the awards ceremony in London connects national business leaders.

The managing director of the Chelmsford-based manufacturer of thermodynamic products was voted for by a judging panel and the general public as one of ten leading entrepreneurs for the Duke of York Entrepreneur of the Year Award. Alistair was then asked to present to five judges, the Duke of York and 300 business people at St Georges Hall in Liverpool. He was then drawn into the final five contestants.

The National Business Awards were presented by Dermot Murnaghon which was followed by a message from prime minister David Cameron to attendees at the awards ceremony.
