Richard was appointed as the government’s technical advisor on renewable heat in 2011 and was embedded in the Renewable Heat Incentive Team. He also founded Kensa Heat Pumps in 1999.
As part of the changes to the senior management team, Andrew Hillier MRICS has stepped down as joint managing director in order to focus on the strategic development of the business in his new role as non-exec chairman alongside founder Andrew Sheldon.
Commenting on the appointment, Ice Energy founder and managing director Andrew Sheldon, said: “Richard brings with him a wealth of successful experience in the field of heat pumps and has intimate knowledge of government policies such as the RHI, Green Deal and ECO.
