The Solar Building Company (SBC) has reached an agreement to sell the project rights for a PV development in the south of England to S.A.G. Solarstrom AG.

SBC initially developed the 5.5 MWp site in St. Ive, Liskeard, obtained all approvals, and prepared it for construction.

This ground-mounted system is designed to produce around 5.4 million kWh per year on completion – equivalent to supplying electricity for 1,500 households – and should save around 3,600 tons of CO2 per year.

“The project represents an ideal introduction to the UK market, as the project was completely developed by The Solar Building Company and we were able to start construction without any delays,” said Oliver Günter, member of the Executive Board of S.A.G. Solarstrom AG.

“This is planned to be the first in a number of joint developments,” added James Steynor, SBC managing director.
