Green Deal’s largest partnership signed and sealed

Green Deal advisory organisation, Green Deal Consulting, has teamed up with two other organisations to spearhead the energy saving scheme being launched in the New Year.

Coventry for Intermediaries reveals that eco-friendly home improvements are not just a trend but a deal-breaker for the young and environmentally conscious.

Green Deal Consulting’s Andy Wynter and David Reason met with Green Deal Consortia founder, Phyllis Boardman, and managing director, Andy Chicken, earlier this week to shake hands on a deal that has long been in the making. The organisations have also partnered with PPL Training, making it the country’s largest single operation working within the Green Deal project.

Phyllis Boardman highlighted the benefits of their partnership in a recent article, stating: “Green Deal Consulting shares our vision that the Green Deal offers more than just a sustainable future for the environment. We are jointly committed to providing a sustainable future for small and medium businesses across the UK by linking together customers, advisors, installers and funders.”

Mr Chicken added: “This deal demonstrates that Green Deal Consortia are more than prepared to outsource work to experts. It seems only natural to utilise each others assets and skill-sets to allow customers to benefit from experts in the field and to ensure that we are fully compliant with legislation.”

Green Deal Consulting says it will handle over 1000 Green Deal Assessments each week, carried out by over 150 Green Deal Advisors, selected from across the country during their recent recruitment events.

To meet this demand, Green Deal Consulting has committed to future sustainability education by setting up a new training school in Brierley Hill, West Midlands. As well as providing top-up training for current domestic energy assessors, four trainee administrators are being taken on for the training school under the government’s apprenticeship scheme and other staff will be recruited as the organisation expands.
