Engensa boss scoops MT Sky award

Toby Darbyshire, co-founder and ceo of Engensa, has won the Start-Up Star category of the MT Sky Future Leaders Awards.

Toby joins four other winners in the awards launched by Sky in partnership with Management Today which celebrate the achievements of individuals in the field of business responsibility.

The Engensa head scooped his award in recognition of the work he’s done to make sustainable lifestyles possible for a new generation of home owners. Where he had the edge in his field was his commitment to run his own business sustainably.

“I am honoured to have been selected as winner of the Start-up Star category,” said Mr Derbyshire. “Having weathered the many challenges that have faced the solar industry in the UK this year, this award reflects Engensa’s determination to continue to innovate and bring the market the technology and financial tools to make sustainable, widespread solar adoption viable for all homeowners.”

Sky chief executive and member of the judging panel, Jeremy Darroch, added: “Our search to recognise the next generation of leaders in business sustainability has uncovered a wealth of talented people who are committed to integrating sustainability into day-to-day business.

“The finalists of the MT Sky Future Leaders awards were chosen for the impact they are having today, and the action they are taking to ensure that their organisations are sustainable into the future. There is much we can learn from them.”
