Eco Buildings Products helps medical practice capture the sun

The solar PV installation at the Deeping Medical Practice is set to generate over 41,000 kWh of electricity per year
Eco Building Products has supplied the PV panels for an installation on the roof of the Deeping Medical Practice in Market Deeping, Lincolnshire.

The company provided more than 200 245W modules and SMA inverters which should generate 41,000 kWh of electricity annually – substantially reducing the practice’s energy bills.

Deeping Medical Practice will also benefit from the government’s Feed in Tariff (FIT), by using around 80 per cent of the electricity generated by the installation and exporting the remainder to the national grid.

The estimated income from taking advantage of FIT is predicted to be £13,000 each year while the predicted savings in energy costs will be in the region of £2,500 annually.

Deepings practice business manager Jo Kevan said: “The installation of PV panels at the Deepings Medical Practice means that the practice can generate significant savings in energy use over time, not simply in cash terms but also in terms of pressure on the environment.

“We can reduce our carbon footprint not only by generating much of our own electricity but also by selecting local providers to install our system.”

Ian Greenfield of Eco Building Products added: “This project was a pleasure to work on as it will benefit the medical practice for years to come. Eco Building Products hopes to work on many similar projects in the near future.”
