ADBA and REA support Renewables Event

The Anaerobic Digestion and Biogas Association (ADBA) and the Renewable Energy Association (REA) have thrown their weight behind The Renewables Event – to be held on 11-12 September.

Based at NEC, Birmingham, the exhibition will feature pioneering companies in the fields of biomass, biofuel and biogas. Seminars and workshops will also press home the business case for these technologies and other renewables with the use of end user case studies.

Together, the Renewables Event and the two shows it will run in conjunction with (The Energy Event and Resource & Waste Management exhibition) expect to attract over 850 exhibitors, 220 industry speakers and more than 20,000 energy and environmental professionals.

Charlotte Morton, chief executive of ADBA, said: “Anaerobic Digestion is a proven technology, providing the best environmental benefit for the treatment of organic waste.

“It is important that people have access to the information they need to make the right decision for their business, through the many flexible options that AD provides and through other renewable technologies so that they are able to make best use of their resources from both an economic and environmental perspective.”

Gaynor Hartnell, chief executive of REA, added: “Increasing number of mainstream businesses are becoming interested in generating energy leading to a growing demand for basic and more advanced information about renewable energy. Exhibitions such as this, form a key part of their research process and we are happy to be working with The Renewables Event to facilitate this.”
