Jonathan Porritt has been confirmed as a keynote speaker for the A Profitable Future in Renewables –The Business Strategy Conference, organised by Renewable Energy Installer magazine. The event takes place on 21 November at the British Museum, London.

Jonathan Porritt will be speaking at A Profitable Future in Renewables - Business Strategy Conference, organised by the publisher of Renewable EnergyInstaller

“This is fantastic news for the conference,” said Lu Rahman, editor of Renewable Energy Installer magazine, “and highlights the important role both the magazine and now the conference, hold within the industry. REI has been reporting on the key events within renewables – the legislation and the technological developments – for four years now. With our knowledge and in-depth understanding of the marketplace, we have produced an exciting and highly relevant business conference that is unrivalled in the sector. Jonathan Porritt is synonymous with sustainability and environmentalism, which of course, are at the heart of the renewables revolution.

“With so many changes affecting all parts of the renewable energy market, it’s important to understand what the long-term business opportunities will be, and what needs to be done to stay successful.”

With this in mind, the conference will focus on the strategies that will deliver clear competitive advantage in a business environment influenced by the domestic economy, government initiatives and targets, and the constant change and development of technology.

With speakers already confirmed from DECC, MCS, REA, the Micropower Council, PWC,  a major Green Tech venture capital business along with key industry figures such as Jeremy Leggett, the conference will examine the current and future environment for renewables, the challenges and opportunities presented by Green Deal, the introduction of the domestic RHI; the issues around building skills and knowledge through partnership or acquisition; addressing the skills gap, managing finances, and generating new sales.

The conference is a must attend for anyone committed to growing and developing a renewables business and for those supplying services and products to one of the UK’s most vibrant markets.

“Space is limited to 150 places so I would encourage anyone interested in attending to act as early as possible. The British Museum is a splendid venue with a dedicated theatre room and excellent transport links. Add this to the first-class conference programme on offer and this really is a key industry event and not to be missed,” added Rahman.
