The organisers say the aim was to enable installers to learn about how new developments and innovations in technology could help them to win new business and stay ahead in an ever-changing market. Previous events have focused on Green Deal and the competency framework required by installers.
Leicester-based installer Paul McBean said: “The reason I am here is that I would like to learn about the latest innovations which can help me to stay competitive and to obtain more work. The innovations such as wireless technology within thermostats are very interesting to learn about.
“I would like to get things in place so that my company can be up and running and have the right certification in place so I am ready for the roll out (of Green Deal).”
Jim Donnelly, network, construction and projects manager at Develop Training added: “We are delighted to be working with IGEM to host this event which supports installers in this dynamic sector as it continues to evolve and advance.”
