UKAS unveils first Green Deal certification bodies

The United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS) has announced the first batch of certification bodies for Green Deal installers and advisors.

Organisations on the list will be able to grant qualified status under the Green Deal Advisor Certification Scheme to those who undergo training and satisfy relevant criteria. Qualified Green Deal advisors will make qualifying assessments, energy efficiency recommendations and produce energy performance certificates (EPC) for all properties hoping to benefit from Green Deal finance.

Additional accreditation bodies are expected to be announced at the end of May and then on a monthly basis as they are approved.
