Evance turbine more powerful than thought

Evance Wind Turbines has announced that tests conducted recently on its R9000 5kw model indicate that it produces 4 per cent more electricity than previously thought.

According to the company, energy generation now stands at 9,167kWh at a wind speed of 5 metres per second.

Evance ceo, Kevin Parslow, said: “We are delighted that our R9000 turbine is proving so efficient in energy production as this translates directly into a faster return on investment for our customers. We design and manufacture our turbines here in the UK, so our customers are quick to benefit from any improvements that we make.

“Our R9000 machine accounted for a third of all small turbines sold in the UK last year – making it the UK’s small turbine of choice. We look forward to maintaining our leadership position as we continue to develop our renewable energy system offerings.”
