Feel the heat in Salford

The University of Salford, working with Envirolink and the Institute of Infrared Thermography, are offering a series of professional training courses providing an understanding of the principles of thermography and how to best use this approach to inspect and accurately interpret the performance of buildings.

The course providers say that infrared thermography, when operated by skilled technicians, provides a valuable insight into the energy performance of structures. Used in conjunction with air pressure testing, the technique is now considered to be on the most effective investigation technologies available.

Held at The Energy House, University of Salford, 10-11 May, attendees will be able to utilise the facilities at the University including a terraced house built inside a fully environmentally controlled chamber which is designed to help reinforce the principles of thermography.
