Renewable Resources make Sainsbury’s greener

Milton Keynes-based installers Renewable Resources Ltd has completed roof-mounted PV arrays at 115 Sainsbury’s stores across the South of England.

The PV project constitutes a major part of Sainsbury’s ’20 by 20 Sustainability Plan’ which aims to reduce the supermarket chain’s carbon emissions.

Paul Gribben, Renewable Resources’ chief executive, said: “The main challenge of this project was to meet strict Feed-in Tariff deadlines. This project has secured Renewable Resources’ position as the largest UK solar PV installer for commercial rooftops in 2011.”
